It may come as a surprise to hear that housebites isn’t the only cool new foodie thing going on in London at the moment. No, apparently there are some other pretty awesome new things happening too. Not just us.
So here’s a couple of the other things we at housebites HQ have heard about and plan on getting our teeth into:
The Long Table
Brilliant idea this: a collaboration between East London uber trendy things Nuno Mendes and The Bootstrap Co, it’s a streetfood nightmarket in Dalston with the likes of Hawksmoor and Moro involved. Plus some avant garde street fodder from Nuno himself.
Get down there, grab some food and feast while playing count the geometric haircut..
Every Friday 6pm – 11, until 16th December. http://www.bootstrapcompany.co.uk/20_the_long_table
Young Turks @ The Ten Bells
A three month pop-up in a pub on Commercial Street (right opposite Spitalfield market) by a couple of chefs calling themselves ‘The Young Turks’.
Pretentious name aside, the food sounds pretty exciting; a fixed menu of very seasonal, top quaility ingredients cooked by a couple of chefs who’s CV’s include St John, The Ledbury and Noma.
It’s pretty good value too: £39 including a welcome cocktail, plus wines marked up no more than £10 on the bottle.
